Bijoux MBee Lucky Horseshoe - Gold.
Bijoux MBee Lucky Horseshoe - Gold.
Lucky horseshoe in gold, with ivory satin ribbons. The pictured horseshoe is decorated with burgundy and white roses, but we may be able to accommodate requests for different flowers or colours.
Most people are familiar with the tradition of presenting a bride with a horseshoe, but how many are aware that to be truly lucky, the horseshoe must be a real one that has actually been worn by a horse?
Bijoux MBee Lucky Horseshoes are genuine worn shoes; they have been painted with a good quality external grade metallic paint, so they can be hung over the threshold of the marital home.

Legend has it that the 10th Century blacksmith, St Dunstan, was approached by a man who wanted iron shoes made to fit the cloven hooves he had for feet. Instantly recognising the man as Lucifer, St Dunstan shackled him to a wall and made such a painful job of the shoeing that Lucifer begged for mercy and vowed never to enter a Christian household. The horseshoe is hung above the door to denote a Christian home and thus keep the devil at bay.
